I’m gonna share two stories. First one was when I went to the museum of glass when I was six. We were in the big cone where they were blowing some kind of sculpture. Out of the blue, a man came up to me, handed me a gorgeous rose colored glass cup, and said, “I want to give this to you because of your smile.” I still have it…[Read more]

I went to the Tacoma Art Museum and saw a lot of awesome things. I think my favorite exhibit is the colored glass. They are all so pretty! But there is one room that I just don’t get. I don’t know what it’s called, but it has things like couches taped to a wall and stuff like that. How is that art? haha

  • #artmuseum I went to the museum of glass and it was really cool. I got to watch them make glass and melt it down and shape it. It was really hot and I could feel the heat even though I was up on the steps. They also had all sorts of glass creations that were designed by kids (But made by proffessionals) my favorite was really cute. It was a…[Read more]

  • #artmuseum My family is a member of the Seattle Art Museum, so we go every couple months. One of my favorite parts of the permanent collection is an Italian room with wood and stained glass. It’s really beautiful. I also really like the old glass and dishes.

I went to the Museum of Glass last winter, does that count? It was pretty nice, my favorite part was this huge wintery-foresty-lake type exhibit made entirely of glass. Here’s some pics I found on google of it:

my favorite part of the museum was the room where they made glass pots and vases in front of you. Also outside of the museum was the bridge of glass which had fascinating sculptures and beautiful vases

This summer a few days ago I went to the Tacoma Art Museum. Something cool I saw were the art pieces made of blown glass. I also saw a few unique paintings that were very basic but they were very big. One of my favorites though was the big grey dog towards the center of the museum. It was very cool, it looked like a labrador retriever to me.

When I went to the Tacoma art museum a saw a very very very big dog made out of metal. The only thing is that it didn’t look completely like a dog it looked kind messed up and funny!

In reply to: camacho98 posted an update #publicart This art piece can show how creative our minds can get. it could be random stuff made intoo a sculpture or feelings made into a painting View

If you like the art museum, you might consider doing the #artmuseum activity once you’d unlocked your Journeyman badge in Visual Arts. (It can take 2-3 days for the grandmaster to process your claim)

The library has passes you can use for free admission to Tacoma Art Museum or Museum of Glass
