I went stargazing with a starchart and I walked two miles for soccer games. I also biked along a path and identified as many plants as I could and attended a baseball game at Cheney Stadium. I have also gardened outside which is a lot of fun, and I picked zucchini’s for cake and bread! #outdoors

    #cemetery , #outdoors
I went to historic Western State Hospital Cemetery, at Fort Steilacoom Park. The thing I found most interesting was: Apparently Adolph was a popular name before Adolph Hitler. At least five people who are buried at the historic Western State Hospital Cemetery who died between 1939 and 1952 were named Adolph.

In reply to: frodo posted an update #localtrees I walked around my house, along the way I did a quick count of the trees in our yard, and I counted over 120 trees (it would have been a lot more if I went in the forest). The […] View

I went to Fort Steilacoom Park to search for these 2 letterboxes: Washington Territorial Insane Asylum @ Steilacoom Letterbox, and Bob the ”Mato”. And found neither :( I hope to try to find them again soon.

    • Awww, that’s no fun. Although it’s often a common problem for boxes to not be there, even if you follow them to the letter.

#outdoors Our whole family drove to Stahl Junior High and while my sister played at the park, my mom and I ran around the track. I ran a mile and timed myself. Didn’t do too bad, either! :)

#outdoors Me and my neighbor work for hours at a time on our “Chalk City”. We get lots of chalk and transform our plain old black col-de-sac into a town with roads, parking (for bikes and scooters), restaurants, and stores-that we own and run ourselves!! We each have our own little store or restaurant that we run and other neighbor kids can…[Read more]

I forgot to mention I did at least four other challenges #outdoors: I read part of #talesoftheotori outside, part of the #holybible outside, drew some of the art for the artistic process challenge outside, and the photos I took for the photography challenge were outside.

I went on a small backpack with my family last weekend. I’m not sure how many miles it was total, but it was more than 2 miles (it was 2 miles to get to the campground where we stayed, so that isn’t counting the trip back and the additional hikes we did to see sights). I saw a lot of fallen trees and nurse logs. And LOTS of…[Read more]

I’ve been visiting my grandparents in Maryland for the last week, and yesterday, we went to Washington DC! It was really cool to walk around the National Mall; even the museum buildings were beautiful. My favorite museum was called the Hirshorn, a modern art museum. There was an interactive exhibit that was really cool.…[Read more]
