Post-Challenge Update #1: Frozen leaderboard, and pick up your pins!
Whoo! What a ride that was! Thank you all for your participation in the Teen Summer Challenge this year. We have immensely enjoyed your contributions, and we’ve collected a lot of information and suggestions on how to improve the experience for next year.
Now, time for some housekeeping. First, if you haven’t yet done so, go to your registered branches and pick up your collectible pins. Some of our branches still have quite a few of the awards you’ve earned from your participation in the Challenge. If you wait too long, they may not be there when you finally get around to wanting them. And that would be sad.
Second, with all the activity that’s happened in our finale week, we have more people to welcome to the Fourth Digit Club. @wrinkles521 made some serious leaps and bounds in that last cycle and firmly established themselves as a Fourth-Digit. @fuzzhead2015 hopped up into the Fourth Digit with a strong showing, and @jimbob and @alesha made it up there with some excellent work. That gives us 15 members that obtained a Fourth Digit in their scores for this year. Give yourselves a round of a applause (and consider @cjumper339 as an honorary or alternate member with 985, please.)
Finally, the leaderboard is now frozen. There will be no more badges awarded or points given from this point forward. Which means the cut-off line for eligibility in the iPad drawing is 745 points. If your score isn’t at least 745 at this point, we’re sorry, but you’ve missed the cut. We hope that you had lots of fun from this year’s challenge and that you’ll come back next year to see what the new Challenge will be like.(Also, a little touchdown dance for a correct prediction about the first digit of the necessary score. But only a small one.)
For those of you with 745 or more, however, congratulations! Assuming that you meet the eligibility requirements for the drawing, you have a 1 in 30 chance of being the winner of the iPad! Stay tuned for another update that will announce the winner, coming…soon?
